The Beautural Fabric Shaver
This $9 fabric shaver from Beautural is an easy-to-use tool that quickly removes pilling, fuzz, lint balls, bobbles, and other bits of unwanted fabric. It’s ideal for freshening up sweaters, coats, and hoodies, but that’s not all. It can also restore bedding, upholstered furniture, and plush children’s toys.
The device features sharp blades that eat up those annoying bits of fabric. But don’t worry — the blades are safely concealed behind a cover to prevent possible injury. Each fabric shaver comes with two sets of replacement blades, ready for when the first ones start to dull. The device offers two speeds and three adjustable shaving heights, allowing you to safely de-fuzz a wide range of fabrics without causing cuts or snags. The cover can be kept on for additional protection when tackling wool and delicate fabrics, or removed for a closer shave on cotton, synthetics, or other more durable materials.
To use the Beautural fabric shaver, simply flip the switch to power it on, then run the device along the fabric. The blades should start to slowly remove any loose, fuzzy bits, leaving the item noticeably smoother. It may take a few passes to get every last bit of fuzz, but with a little patience, it’ll get the job done. When finished, detach the lint collection container and empty its contents into the trash.

My Experience
As I’ve mentioned, some of my favorite pieces of apparel had started to show significant wear. One of the worst cases was my beloved New Jersey Devils hoodie, which I’ve been wearing for over a decade. It once had pilling akin to a case of chronic acne, and it looked like it would end up in the donation bin before long. I also dealt with fuzz and lint on some of my favorite sweaters that had been given to me as gifts. All these pieces held sentimental value, and the last thing that I wanted was to get rid of them. But at the same time, I worried the pilling would only get worse if I continued to wear them.
After doing a little research, I came across the Beautural fabric shaver and figured it was worth a try. The results were miraculous. After just a few minutes, my 10-year-old hoodie looked brand-new, and my sweaters were restored to their pristine state.
The process couldn’t have been simpler: I popped in two AA batteries (not included), adjusted its settings, and carefully ran the shaver along the fabric in fluid, repeated motions until the pilling disappeared. Given my personal experience, I’ve recommended the fabric shaver to anyone and everyone dealing with similar problems. While I haven’t yet tested it on my furniture or bedding, I assume it will perform just as well when the time comes.
